I graduated from Adrian College in Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I taught
second grade for three years for the Patrick Henry School District before I got married and moved to
Cleveland to live. While I was there I worked at a Montessori School and a Gerber Day Care School where
I taught kindergarten for one year. After I moved back to Defiance, I subbed for a number of years before
I was hired by St. Mary School for their gifted program which I taught for sixteen years. I was then hired
at my present position of Title One Reading and have been happily doing this for the past sixteen years. I
enjoy working with the students on a one to one basis and love working in a small school atmosphere. My
three sons went to St. Mary School, so I am a proud supporter of Catholic Education.
